I'm glad you've made it to my website. Since starting ballet classes at the age of 15 I've found a sense of home and community in the dance world that previously escaped me. As a dancer, ballet teacher and certified Pilates instructor. I've thoroughly enjoyed exploring everything the dance world has to offer. I hope you'll take your time to browse this site.

My training began in Davis, California where I spent one year as a recreational dancer under Lisa Applegate. My last two years of high school were completed at the Interlochen Arts Aacdemy, a boarding arts high school in Michigan. My professional training began at Interlochen under the guidance of Mark Borchelt, Wendy Masterson, Thom Clower, Sharron Randolph and Tina Curran. It was at Interlochen that I was first exposed to modern dance, having the opportunity to work with many outstanding guests such as Stephen Pier, Ruth Andrien, Sean Curran, Deborah Goodman, Michael Uthoff, Sandra Kaufman, and Adam Hougland to name a few. Graduating with the distinction of a Fine Arts award, I was selected to participate in an honorary performance in the graduation ceremonies.

In the fall of 2004 I began an undergraduate degree at Indiana University under the direction of Violette Verdy, Guo-Ping Wang, Glenda Lucena, and Jacques Cesbron. At Indiana I pursued a Bachelor of Science in Ballet. In addition I worked towards completing an Outside Field in Business at the Kelley School of Business, one of the top 20 business schools in the United States. It was at Indiana that I started my career as both an instructor of ballet and pilates, teaching ballet classes through the university to recreational students, and after completing a comprehensive certification course instructing pilates at Lotus Pilates. While at Indiana University I served as an officer of the College Republicans and had the artistic pleasure of working with Julie Kent, Damian Woetzel, Bruce Simpson, and John Clifford.

In the winter of 2005 I joined the Peoria Ballet as a guest artist in their annual production of The Nutcracker. Later that season in the spring of 2006 I moved to Salt Lake City after accepting Jonas Kage's invitation to join Ballet West mid-season as a member of the corps.

I'm currently enjoying the summer in Logan, Utah dancing with the Utah Festival Opera and looking forward to beginning the 2008-2009 season with Stephen Mill's Ballet Austin.
