Since being welcomed into the library industry in 2013 I've been fortunate to join and lead incredible teams working hard to move the industry forward. I continue to believe that building the right team is the single strongest predictor of success.

Projects

Museum Accreditation  

The Midland County Public Libraries are working to become the first dual accredited library and museum system in the nation.

Book Festival and Writers' Workshop Development

Home to the largest book festival in West Texas history, Midland welcomed over 40 authors on October 10 and 11, 2014 for the second Books in the Basin book festival. Festival attendance topped 1,600. The Permian Basin Writers' Workshop has been developed in 2015 and 16 to provide high level professional development to local and regional writers. The writers' workshop has connected over 100 participants to agents and publishers from around the nation, and has contributed directly to local authors finding representation with agents, and closing book deals.

Award Winning Library

Opened by former First Lady Laura Bush on April 13, 2013 the Centennial Library in Midland, TX has received national praise, including the biennial International Interior Design Association and American Library Associaition award for Interior Design in Public Libraries over 30,000 square feet.
